We do a LOT of online shopping. When I say a lot, I mean, about 80% of our shopping is done online. Whether it is Christmas gifts, toothpaste, or diapers, we get it online. This is why I love Ebates. Some friends of ours told us about it a few years ago and we've been using it since.
Basically, what it does is offers cash back for purchases made online. At first I thought it was a scam or that you would have to do something complicated to get the cash back. It was easy to sign up and use. I just go to their website, search for the store I plan on shopping at (Diapers.com, Walmart, Target, etc) and select get cash back. Then I make my purchases and a few days later, there is money in my Ebates account. Occasionally it doesn't register my purchase so I just go to "Where's my cash back?" and give them a copy of my email receipt and they'll add it to my account.
We have made over $80 using Ebates and are looking forward to another $40 check coming in from our Christmas purchases. It has been a great money saving tip for things that we already planned on purchasing.
