Quick Guide to Couponing: for those of us who don't know where to start (Guest Post by Angie)

Here are some couponing tips from a friend and coupon-master. She has saved hundreds of dollars with these tactics. Since I am no couponing expert, I asked if she could give us some quick tips on how she does it. Here is a guest post from the amazing Angie!

Hello everyone!

I was asked by Alicia to write her readers a blog in regards to couponing! I grew up with a family who loves the Lord and a mom who stayed at home. My Dad worked hard for the Government and we only had one income. My Mom really watched our budget growing up and used coupons all the time. Now I'm married to the love of my life, Dave, and we have a two year old boy, Davey, who is our joy! I stay at home while my hubby works hard as a Cardiac Nurse. We have one income, thus couponing helps our budget not be so tight. Plus, I'll admit, I enjoy couponing and love saving the money! :)

In this day and age we have so many resources at our fingertips that it is so much easier to save! I usually dedicate about 2-3 hours a week to coupon. Depending on the apps, coupon sites and so forth it could be less, it could be longer.

One of the first sites I always start off with is http://www.bargainblessings.com/. They have great resources on how to start couponing and have each store listed with the weekly bargains. A good friend of mine is the one who does the research and posts the bargains. A bonus is that she links the bargains with online coupon sites to get a certain coupon or app. I usually focus on King Soopers because they double coupons, which is awesome! 

Some of my favorite money saving apps are: MobiSave, Ibotta, Snap by Groupon, SavingStar, Checkout51 and don't forget the King Soopers app! Make sure that you have an online King Sooper's account because they give you personal prices and a free item each Friday when you download it to your King Soopers card. Plus you can download digital coupons to your card as well!

A great online coupon site to print coupons is www.coupons.com. Another wonderful money saving app is retailmenot. Anytime I go shopping I check this app or their website. They have the latest coupon codes and the stores will honor them!

Also, let's not forget Ebates! I love this site because it pays you to shop online! Go to the Ebates website to sign up and click on the store and it will take you right to the site. You will get a  percentage of your purchase price back with a check in the mail quarterly. These are just a few of the many money saving tips and apps at your fingertips!
