Back Eurotrip Final Chapter: A List

The final leg of our journey with Mom and Dad was spent driving through the Swiss Alps and enjoying the silliness of wild animals gone domestic, all in A List.

1) The Swiss Alps are stunning. I have yet to see a more dramatic landscape.  We drove through the Alps on our way to Zurich.

2) EVERYTHING is expensive in Switzerland. We paid 4 CHF (~$4) for ice cream from McDonald's. The upside was that we got to take Mom and Dad for their first Kebap experience. Yum!

3) My family is strange. We think we are in a red neck banjo band, ga ga ga ga!

4) There is an awesome Wildpark about 30 minutes drive from our house. You can pet and feed goats, ostriches, and deer. I love baby goats, he's only a few weeks old!

5) I want a pet baby goat.

6) James wants someone to detail the car to remove the donkey slobber...

7) Baby pigs are adorable! Grown up pigs are scary...

8) Where's Waldo?

9) We got to walk inside a cage full of monkeys.

10) After our Swiss and Wildpark experiences we were ready for some history. We visited Luxembourg and saw the American WWII cemetery as well as the German WWII cemetery. My prior post shows the beauty and honor of the American cemetery, the German one was not the same. Although kept nice, some headstones have 4 or 5 names on them. It was a sobering experience but an important one.

11) The Palace in Luxembourg is surrounded by a moat filled with parks all around, a magnificent sight!

12) Overall, this was one of the best trips we've had in Europe and we are so blessed to have spent it with my parents. Thanks Mom and Dad for being the first to visit and brave our European travels!!
