Caput Camera

Sad day...while on our amazing vacation with the parents (will be posting several "installments" soon), my lovely camera (Panasonic Lumix P&S) was dropped and broken. In a rush of panic, we went to the BX in Garmisch, Germany and bought an Olympus VR-320. Sadly, this camera is horrible. I've tried all the different settings, messed with the ISO, the pixel size, etc. I can only get decent photos on 'sport' mode and those are still not the best.

If you look over all the photos that have been posted on this blog thus far, they have all been taken with my wonderful Panasonic point and shoot. I have to say that for a cheaper P&S camera, my photos have come out pretty nice. All they have ever needed is a little editing and voila. But this new camera is no good! It takes about 4 tries to get a non-blurry photo and most of the photos are really grainy.

So....for the next few posts, please forgive the grainy photos (most of those I'm posting are the best that I got). Meanwhile, I'm off to the BX to return this Olympus and (since I'm a creature of habit) I plan on purchasing another Panasonic Lumix. Hey, why fix what isn't broken...except that my camera is broken...
